Refund Policy

Last Updated: 19 September 2026

Our products are custom and handmade. Your flowers are one of a kind, and none of it can be undone once it has started. This page sets out when you can cancel, when you cannot, and what happens when something goes wrong.

Canceling before your flowers reach us

You can cancel at any point before your flowers arrive in our care. Email team@petalpressflowers.com with your order number and tell us you would like to cancel.

There is no cancellation fee. What you paid is refunded in full to the payment method you used.

Once your flowers are with us

After your flowers arrive at the studio, cancellations and refunds are not accepted.

This is not a rule we apply casually. Pressing starts almost immediately and cannot be reversed, so a bloom that has been pressed and dried cannot be returned to you as it was. The glass and frame is built for your order, at the size and finish you chose, so there is nothing to resell. On average, flower drop-off to frame delivery is 5 to 7 months, and most of that time is work already spent on your custom order.

You approve the design before anything is sealed

Once your flowers are dried, our floral team designs an arrangement for your blooms, your frame size and your frame color, and sends it to you. Nothing is sealed until you have seen it and told us to proceed. Our best work is done when we have creative freedom to design your flowers in a way we feel showcases them best. If you have a specific vision in mind, please let us know prior to designing them as curating a design takes many hours.

Color change is expected, not a fault

When pressed, flowers may change shape, color, and even size. While not every color change is drastic, some may be surprising. White flowers turn hues of ivory, yellow, beige, which continues as they age. Varieties of pink and red flowers may turn different shades of purple. Some colors deepen in the press, while others fade to a softer version.

All of our frames feature UV-protected conservation glass. This helps preserve the flowers' color for as long as possible. However, because flowers are 100% natural materials, color fading is expected as they naturally and gracefully age.

This is part of how preservation works rather than a defect, so a color shift on its own is not grounds for a refund. We would rather you knew that before you ordered than after.

If something is damaged in shipping

Flowers are fragile, and so is framed glass. If your order is damaged during shipping, contact us and we will work through it with you. Tell us as soon as you can and send photographs if you have them, because carrier claims have short deadlines.

On the way to us, if your flowers reach the studio in a condition we do not think will press well, we contact you before we begin and tell you honestly what is possible, so you can decide whether to go ahead.

If a petal shifts inside your frame

Your arrangement is secured to the glass before the frame is sealed, and it is built to stay where it is put. If a petal moves out of place inside the sealed frame within six months of you receiving it, contact us and we will take care of it.

After six months we can still help, though additional fees may apply.

If there is a problem with your finished frame

Email team@petalpressflowers.com with your order number and photographs of the problem. We pride ourselves on quality craftsmanship, and want all of our clients to be satisfied with their final product.

Missed appointments

Our studio is appointment only, for drop-off and for pick-up. If you miss your slot, contact us immediately to inquire about additional openings.
