CARE GUIDE

Caring for Your Flowers Before They Reach Us

The condition your flowers arrive in shapes how the finished frame looks. A few small things in the days after your event make a real difference.

Tips for Success

01

Keep them cool and out of direct sun.

02

Keep them in water until the day they ship or get dropped off.

03

Get them to us as soon as you can. We accept flowers up to five days after your event.

04

Do not let them dry out. Dried flowers crumble in the press instead of flattening.

Right After Your Event

Keep your bouquet in water as much as possible, especially if your wedding or event is outdoors. Ask your florist for tips on how to keep your specific flowers as fresh as possible. For weddings, many brides task a member of their bridal party to be in charge of caring for the bouquet throughout the day.

Unless you have a florist refrigerate them for you, please use caution storing them in a refrigerator. While it can be helpful, flowers can freeze and damage if you do not keep a close eye on the temperature.

HANDING IT OFF

Who Handles It

Most of our clients hand this off. A parent, a sibling, a friend from the wedding party. An appointment must be scheduled to reserve a drop-off time.

This is normal, and it is the reason we accept flowers up to five days out.

THE ESSENTIALS

Packing for Shipping

Your confirmation email includes full packing instructions. The essentials:

01

For best results, closely follow the shipping instructions provided in your confirmation email.

02

Never use plastic products such as bubble wrap or similar materials, as they can stick to and damage petals.

03

Use the fastest service you can, ideally overnight, and ship early in the week so the box is not sitting in a facility over a weekend.

04

When your flowers are en route, send us the tracking number provided by the carrier so we can keep an eye on the arrival window.

Shipping to us is your responsibility and you may use any carrier.

ASK FIRST

What If They Already Look Rough

Send a photo and ask. Bouquets often press better than they look, and we would rather tell you honestly than have you assume the opportunity is gone.

WHAT TO EXPECT

A Note on Color

Pressed flowers look different than fresh flowers. Colors change no matter how well the flowers are cared for. Good care protects the shape and structure of your blooms. It does not stop the color change, and nothing does. More on that in our FAQ.

Order your frame, then send us your flowers

Placing your order, and confirming your drop-off or shipping plans, is what reserves your space in the press. We look forward to seeing your flowers.
