FLORAL PRESERVATION

Floral Preservation FAQ

Answers about timing, shipping, color change, and what your finished piece will look like. If something is not here, call us and a team member will assist you.

Ordering and timing

We recommend placing your order at least 1-2 months before your event date. Planning ahead will reserve your spot in our presses, and facilitates a smooth delivery process for you. Our team is occasionally able to accept orders as late as 5 days after your event.

For any flowers post-event, please call us at (928) 396-2497 to confirm before ordering.

In all cases, the sooner, the better. Depending on condition and how they’ve been cared for, we usually accept flowers no more than 5 days following your event. Keep your flowers in clean water and stored in a cool area until they reach us.

On average, flower drop-off to frame delivery is 5-7 months, but can vary depending on the time of year.

We will notify you once your flowers are taken out of their presses and enter our design queue. Quality preservation takes time, and our team is committed to giving each handmade heirloom the time and attention it deserves.

Yes. An account login will be provided at checkout using the email you provide us. You can log in at any time and track the status of your order(s). We will also send you a notification when your flowers come out of the presses and enter our design queue, and again when the design is ready for your approval.

Possibly not. Depending on condition and how they have been stored, we accept flowers up to five days after your event. Call us at (928) 396-2497 before ordering so we can confirm availability.

No. Regardless of frame size, or type of event, all flowers will go through the same tried-and-true process, then work their way to the top of our design queue. What we can do is confirm availability quickly and get your flowers into the presses the day they arrive.

No. We only offer full preservation projects, so we don’t return extra pressed flowers or petals. We press according to your frame size, plus a little extra, so we can choose the best-looking blooms for your design. Once they’re dried, we sometimes combine two flowers, pulling petals from one to fill out another, or rebuild a flower completely.

To do our very best work and keep our studio running smoothly, our top priority will always be making the most beautiful flower frames possible.

Getting your flowers to us

We accept orders from anywhere in the USA. After placing your order online, detailed shipping instructions will be included in your confirmation email. Once your flowers are on the way, please send us the tracking number provided by the carrier.

Shipping flowers to us is your responsibility, and you may use the carrier of your choice. We are located in Gilbert, AZ. Shipping estimates can be found on most major carrier websites.

For best results, closely follow shipping instructions provided in confirmation email. It’s very important to not use plastic products such as bubble wrap or similar mediums as they can stick to and damage petals.

Use the fastest service you can, ideally overnight, and ship early in the week so the box is not sitting in a facility over a weekend. Full instructions are in your confirmation email.

When your flowers are en route, send us a tracking number provided by the carrier so we can keep an eye on the arrival window.

Drop-off is in Gilbert, Arizona. Your confirmation email includes a link to book a drop off time, and a slot must be reserved before you come.

If you are running late, we cannot guarantee someone will be there to take the delivery, and if you miss your appointment, please contact us immediately to inquire about additional openings.

Sending a trusted friend or family member on your behalf is recommended for brides wanting to leave for their honeymoon shortly after the wedding.

Yes, and most of our clients do exactly that. A parent, a sibling, or someone from the wedding party. An appointment must be scheduled to reserve a drop-off time.

Keep them in water, keep them cool, and keep them out of direct sun. Do not let them dry out. Unless you have a florist refrigerate them for you, please use caution storing them in a refrigerator. While it can be helpful, flowers can freeze and damage if you do not keep a close eye on the temperature. Our flower care guide covers the details.

We accept orders across the United States. For anything outside the country, call us at (928) 396-2497 before ordering so we can talk through timing and customs. We do not offer international shipping for finished frames.

Frames, sizes, and pricing

Frame size is a personal choice. A small frame saves a handful of blooms as a sentimental heirloom from a special day. A larger frame allows for many flowers to be saved in a beautiful and distinct shape. Unless you have a 'petite' bouquet, almost all wedding bouquets fit in our best seller, the '16X20' frame.

If you choose our 18X24 frame, we recommend this for bouquets with a lot of variety and blooms, or providing an extra arrangement to supplement enough flowers.

Frames start at $340 for an 8x10 and go to $685 for an 18x24 in gold. Price moves with size and finish. Boutonniere frames are 5x7 and start at $125. Shipping and taxes are calculated and shown at checkout.

Usually, yes. There are often enough blooms in a bouquet to fill a larger frame plus one or two smaller ones, which clients frequently gift to a mother or mother-in-law. Tell us what you have and we will let you know what is possible. You may also bring additional flowers such as table arrangements, ceremony flowers, bridesmaid bouquets, etc. to supplement.

Yes. Boutonnieres can be framed on their own in a 5x7.

Yes. Most registries let you add a gift from any website. Our registry page walks through it.

What preservation does to flowers

Yes. When pressed, flowers may change shape, color, and even size. While not every color change is drastic, some may be surprising. White flowers turn hues of ivory, yellow, beige, which continues as they age. Varieties of pink and red flowers may turn different shades of purple. Some colors deepen in the press, while others fade to a softer version.

All of our frames feature UV-protected conservation glass. This helps preserve the flowers' color for as long as possible. However, because flowers are 100% natural materials, color fading is expected as they naturally and gracefully age.

Yes, we accept all-white bouquets. White flowers are difficult and shift color noticeably. Pressed white blooms (like plain white spray roses) can turn shades of ivory, with yellow, beige or brown hues.

We believe all bouquets deserve a second chance, and we accept all (fresh) bouquets. If you have an all-white bouquet, adding greenery and mixing several types of white flowers can give a finished frame contrast and depth.

No. Flowers have to be fresh to press, because dried flowers crumble under the press instead of flattening.

Years, kept out of direct sunlight. UV glass slows fading but does not stop it. The flowers will continue to soften in color slowly over their lifetime, which is what pressed flowers do.

No. Pressing works on fresh plant material. If your bouquet mixes fresh and faux stems, we will press the fresh blooms and design around them.

Design and approval

Yes. We send you the layout before anything is sealed, and nothing gets finished until you have approved it. If there are any adjustments you’d like, now is the time to let us know. We cannot make any changes after a frame is sealed.

Our best work is done when we're given creative freedom to design how we feel showcases your flowers best. Many clients assume they will or won't like a certain bloom, only to completely change their mind after seeing it pressed. However, if you have a specific vision, please let us know at drop-off, so we can ensure our pressing style accounts for your preferences.

Finished frames

Yes, and local frame pick-up is free at checkout. We will send a link to book a time once your frame is finished. Return shipping is optional.

Packed for transit and shipped anywhere in the country. We will provide a tracking link from the shipping carrier, so that you can stay informed of the estimated arrival window. Your frame and glass are heavier than they look, so if you are collecting it in person, bring a vehicle where it can lie flat or sit upright without shifting.

On a wall out of direct sunlight, using hardware rated for the weight of glass. UV glass slows fading but sunlight is still what ages a pressed arrangement fastest.

Contact us within 48 hours with photos and we will make it right. Our refund and shipping policies cover the details.

Memorial and funeral flowers

Yes. Flowers from funerals, memorials, and celebrations of life are a regular part of our work. The process is the same: pressed by hand, arranged by our design team, and sealed in UV-protected glass. Our memorial preservation page walks through what to expect.

Usually. There are often enough blooms in a single arrangement to fill several smaller frames. Tell us what you have and we will let you know what is possible before anyone orders.

Possibly not. We accept flowers up to five days after the service, depending on condition. Call us at (928) 396-2497 or send a photo and we will tell you honestly.
