ON THIS PAGE
This page explains what cookies petalpressflowers.com uses, what they are for, and what choices you have about them. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which covers personal information more broadly.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device so it can remember things between pages and between visits. Related technologies, including pixels and tags placed by companies we work with, do much the same job, and everything on this page applies to them too.
What we use cookies for
- Making the site work. Keeping items in your cart, carrying you through checkout, and keeping you signed in if you created an account. These cannot be switched off without breaking the site.
- Remembering your choices. Holding on to things you have already entered or selected.
- Understanding how the site is used. Google Analytics tells us, in aggregate, which pages people visit and which links they click. We use it to decide what to fix and what to write next. Microsoft Clarity shows us how people move through a page, such as where they click and how far they scroll, so we can fix what gets in the way. It does not record what you type into forms.
- Advertising. Google, Meta and Pinterest advertising tools help us measure whether our advertising works and show our ads to people likely to be interested in preservation.
Our payment provider also sets cookies during checkout to process your payment and guard against fraud. Those are necessary for a purchase to complete.
Your choices
This site does not show a cookie banner. You control cookies in two places: your own browser, and the advertising settings of the companies named above.
- Your browser. Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies, usually under a settings section called Privacy, Cookies, or Site data. Most also have a setting that blocks third-party cookies specifically, which stops most advertising tracking while leaving the site working. Blocking everything will break parts of this site, including the cart and checkout.
- Google. The ad settings on your Google account control personalised advertising, and Google publishes a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics entirely.
- Meta and Pinterest. Both let you limit ad personalisation from the settings inside your account on their own platforms.
- Ask us. Email team@petalpressflowers.com and we will act on your request. Our Privacy Policy sets out what you can ask for.
Some state privacy laws treat advertising cookies as a sale or sharing of personal information. If you would rather we did not handle your information that way, tell us and we will not.
Cookies set by other companies
Some of the cookies described here are set by the companies named above rather than by us, and they handle that information under their own privacy policies. We do not control what they collect once it is set, which is why the controls above are worth knowing about.
Questions
How we handle personal information generally is covered in our Privacy Policy. If you have a question about cookies on this site, reach out and a team member will answer.
